Specially prepared for artists’ use, the wood used for our willow charcoal is correctly baked to produce an even line of consistent intensity. Our charcoal is available in a variety of sizes and packs.

Why is this an unsung hero? I felt I had more control drawing with these sticks due to their length. The sticks move smoothly on paper. Charcoal is easier to smudge than pencil and evokes a richness with its robust black lines.​
