Primers

Primers are applied before painting and control the texture, absorbency and the colour of the surface. A good quality primer is essential as the longevity of a painting depends on how the surface has been prepared. Oil primers create a traditional base for oil painting and are preferred by artists who enjoy a slight increase in gloss and smoothness. Our oil primers are available in white, clear or black.
